If we were to look at a hidden wall in Bert's room in 1991, just as the last few episodes of The Raccoons were airing, this is what it'd likely look like (save for the stick, since that is mine, and represents the effect The Raccoons has had on the modern generation). A Gordie Howe portrait from 1980, Howe's last year in the NHL, and the year the first Raccoons special aired. A Mark Messier photo from the late-80's, with him as the Oilers' captain. A Gretzky jersey from not too long after his trade to Los Angeles, as he was still in the hearts of many Canadians even after leaving the Oilers. And a Jaromir Jagr photo, from Jagr's rookie NHL season (1990-91, coincidentally, the last season that The Raccoons aired). There's also a random hockey card, and three pucks with the logos of now-defunct NHL teams still active during The Raccoons' run (Hartford Whalers, Québec Nordiques, and Minnesota North Stars). Quite the collection Bert's got.
